BLONDIE announce their next single TOO MUCH!

Blondie’s 2017 keeps getting better. Their already legendary 11th studio album, Pollinator (released May 5th on BMG), soared to Number 4 in the UK charts, making it the group’s first Top 5 entry in over 18 years.

Now, Blondie announce the next single from the mighty ‘Pollinator’ – ‘Too Much’.

Having showcased dazzling co-writes on the album, it’s time for one of the ‘in house’ gems. ‘Too Much’ was co-written by Blondie’s own keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen and Laurel Katz-Bohen. Gorgeously addictive, the song features a playful Debbie Harry vocal (“I love you too damned much”) and the band’s trademark electronic tones are propelled to the dance floor by Clem Burke’s celebrated drumming. The result is a great pop song with that effortless shot of Blondie DNA.

Previous Pollinator singles include ‘Fun’, co-written by Dave Sitek, (TV On The Radio), and ‘Long Time’, a genius collaboration between the band and Dev Hynes, AKA Blood Orange.

In celebration of the release of Pollinator on May 5th, the band returned to the iconic Roundhouse in London for a triumphant sold out show, receiving an ecstatic reception from fans and critics alike.

The gig perfectly illustrated the new album’s seamless blend of past glory and future hits, with The Guardian noting that it “combined singalong classics with compelling new material” and The Daily Telegraph applauding, “A voice and melodies untouched by time.”

Blondie also brought audiences a taste of Pollinator with stunning live performances on ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ (BBC Two), ‘The One Show’ (BBC One) and ‘The Chris Evans Breakfast Show’ (BBC Radio 2) and Tonight At The London Palladium (ITV).

Blondie recently toured Australia and New Zealand (April 2017).  This summer they tour the US and Canada with Garbage but before then they will be back in the UK to headline at the Eden

Project on June 23rd and play a major show at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park as main support to Phil Collins on June 30th.

The band also announced they will be performing at BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park on Sunday September 10th.
